Madlands
Madlands is a free online bullet hell MMO in the spirit of Realm of the Mad God. Play it right here in your browser, on your phone, or in the desktop app.
- Dodge everything. Bosses telegraph their attacks, then fill the screen with lances, rainbow spirals, closing cages, quakes and meteors.
- Team up with whoever's online. Everyone shares the realm. Form a party, trade loot and call out dungeon portals in chat.
- A class for every playstyle, from the Wizard and Archer to the Necromancer, Chromancer and Ronin, with more to unlock as you level.
- Permadeath. When a hero falls, their fame goes toward class stars, titles and the Fame Market. Your vault and pets stay with you.
- A realm that gets deadlier the higher you climb, from the beach up to Ashcrown Summit, with dungeons from Easy to Nightmare and Mythic tiers beyond them.
- No disconnect deaths. If your connection drops, your hero freezes and can't be hurt until you're back.
Free to play. Gems buy cosmetics, character slots and vault space, never power.
Your progress is kept in this browser as a guest account. Sign in from the menu to keep it on any device, playmadlands.com included.

Install instructions
Windows: unzip and run Madlands. If SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway. The app isn't code-signed yet.
Mac: unzip and move Madlands to Applications. The first time, right-click it → Open → Open, since Gatekeeper refuses unsigned apps on a normal double-click.
Linux: make the AppImage executable (chmod +x Madlands-*.AppImage) and run it.
Installing through the itch.io app is easiest: it keeps the game up to date with small patches. The game itself always loads the live version, and your account carries over from the browser once you sign in.
